I always laugh when I’m showing people around our home, and we walk into the master bathroom “Wow you have plants in here!!” Apparently, not everyone thinks the bathroom is the ideal place…but why not? There is always water at hand !!!!

Personally, our bathroom has a lot of natural light it also gets really “STEAMY” at times, so I tend to buy more tropical plants and that love humidity as I find they thrive in the environment. One of my favourites is an Orchid, its small enough to fit on the counter between the sinks and has a little hint of colour. I have also had Air plants and succulents.

Here are a few of my favourite plants.

Air Plants are the easiest as they don’t even need to be planted so great to just place on a shelf or next to folded towels etc.

+ Light Bright sunlight is preferred

+ Water Simply place in a shallow dish of water overnight every couple of weeks. They love steamy bathrooms!

PS: if you don’t have a green thumb there are some fantastic artificial options of this and other plants, and no one need ever know the truth…. and I won’t say a word!!!!

Artificial plants

Chinese Money Plant

+ Light Bright but indirect sunlight

+Water Allow the soil to dry out between watering’s

Aloe Vera

A plant with a purpose

+ Light Bright, indirect sunlight

+Water Allow the soil to dry out before watering thoroughly.

Pothos

This is also known as the cubical plant as it is hardy and easy to care for and can survive almost anything!!!

+ Light Low light

+Water Irregular watering……if you don’t have green fingers this may be a good one, to begin with!!!

Good Luck
